It is the mission of State of Black Learning (SBL) to foster dialogue and provide practical tools for all educators (teachers, specialists, principals, administrative assistants, coaches and more) to incorporate sustainable resources into the work they do. Further aiming to cultivate personal and professional development among educators who value knowledge and the enhancement of Black students’ lives.
There are many outstanding Black Teachers, Educational Service Professionals, and Out-of-School Providers.
SBL is asking for your assistance in identifying those individuals whose skills, dedication, understanding and caring for children have made a positive impact on the lives of our students, and whose service has been truly outstanding in its contribution to the overall positive educational climate of Black students.
The Black Educators Awards and Gala Ceremony is an event where Black educators are recognized for outstanding achievement and service to students. The purpose of the nomination process is to provide a method to identify these individuals and ensure that they receive appropriate recognition for their efforts on behalf of the students they serve.
